We are excited to invite all Dixon residents to join us for the 41st Annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6th. This special event brings our community together in a nationwide effort to promote crime and drug prevention.

National Night Out is a fantastic opportunity for residents to meet and mingle with local law enforcement, city officials, and community organizations. It's all about building stronger, safer neighborhoods by fostering relationships and raising awareness about crime prevention. This year, we're focusing on four key goals:

1. Raising crime and drug prevention awareness
2. Generating support for local anti-crime initiatives
3. Strengthening neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships
4. Sending a clear message to criminals that our neighborhoods are united and vigilant.

From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on August 6th, we encourage everyone to lock their doors, turn on their porch lights, and come outside to spend time with neighbors, police officers, and firefighters.

Throughout the evening, city staff and council members will join police and fire personnel to visit registered neighborhood block parties. It's a great chance to connect, share stories, and enjoy the evening together.
